The Bayaning Pulis Foundation Inc will be providing educational assistance to the dependents of police officers who sacrificed their lives or became permanently incapacitated in the line of duty. The assistance will come in the form of stipends that will be directly given to the families to help them shoulder the cost of books, uniforms, meals, transportation, school supplies, internet connection, gadgets, and even tuition fees. The Foundation is also looking for the provision of scholarship grants from our partner academic institutions.
The Educational Assistance Program aims to facilitate the provision of educational assistance to the dependents of PNP personnel who did the ultimate sacrifice or have been permanently incapacitated in the performance of their duties. This is in line with the Foundation’s motto of “Remembering the Lives and Honoring the Sacrifices” of our law enforcement officers for their great service to the nation. Funds for the program shall be sourced from contributions, donations and gifts, sponsorships, and fund-raising activities. The educational assistance will cover one (1) beneficiary per family, who will be enrolled in a public or private academic institution from elementary to college.
To apply for a scholarship, just follow these steps:
1. Secure an Educational Assistance application form from the PNP Regional Office or directly at MWD, DPRM.
2. Submit the filled-up application form, together with the required documents, to the PNP Regional Office or NSU, whichever is more convenient for the applicants.
The applicant must be a legitimate son/daughter or dependents of a PNP uniformed personnel who died or was permanently incapacitated in the performance of duty or by reason of office.
The applicant must submit the following documents to the DPRM (Attn: PSS, MWD) through the PROs/NSUs morale and welfare section under the RPRMD or ARMD:
1. Application form (pro-forma from the Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc.);
2. Certified true copy of Birth Certificate issued by NSO; and
3. Posthumous Order or TPPD Order of parents.
Applicants can start their application through the PROs/NSUs morale and welfare section under the RPRMD or ARMD.
Any generous individual/person or entity/institution or organization can be a benefactor.
You can be a benefactor by providing donations, contributions, gifts, scholarship sponsorships, and participating in fund-raising activities.
Donations, contributions, gifts, and proceeds of fund-raising activities will become part of the endowment fund that will be allocated to qualified beneficiaries.
Yes, the Foundation accepts donations in-kind (ie. gadgets for online learning) but preferably in cash or checks.
